Intro
The New Springs Community Project Group is a non-profit, community-run, organisation which aims to provide events, activities and learning opportunities to the tenants and residents on the Springs Estate and surrounding area.
Various groups currently run, including a Kids Club, Youth Council Group and an Over 50's Coffee and Bingo Morning, a community tool-library and lots more are in the pipeline. As well as the regular user groups, there are adult education courses available at various times of the year, the next round of which will be in the New Year, and group outings. Coming up over Christmas this year are: a family christmas party, an Over-50's Christmas meal and a family pantomime trip.
As well as all of this, the Comminty Group meet reguarly on a bi-monthly basis with informal 'coffee-morning' style meetings in between.
From the new year, there will be a brand-new community room and kitchen available for hire to those wishing to make use of of it, either for regular group meetings, one-off meetings or for family celebrations, such as children's birthday parties.
