Summer Sports Fun for Young People

Summer sports camps for all ages have been organised by Bury Council's Sports Development Team in a bid to keep local youngsters fit and healthy and give them something fun to do.
There are a wide range of activities taking place across the borough. There will be a multi sports camp at Holy Cross College between 6-8 August and between the 13-14 August the college will also be hosting a Basketball camp.
There will also be Cricket coaching clinics between 11-14 August at Walshaw Sports Club and between 18-21 August at Prestwich Cricket, Tennis and Bowls Club. The sessions are aimed at kids aged 9 to 11 years old and will involve a mixture of skill sessions, games and other cricket activities.
Free rugby skills sessions for 10 - 14 year olds, will be run every Wednesday, 6pm - 7pm at Parrenthorn High School. with coaches from Salford City Reds and Swinton Lions giving expert advice and tips to those who attend will also be held. For further details contact Alan Kilshaw on 07874 308 426.
