Police in Whitefield are appealing for the public's help to trace 46 year-old Mark Muscat (born 13/05/58) of Victoria Court in Whitefield who has been missing since Tuesday 2 May 2006.

He was last seen at 10am on Tuesday by his flatmates when he dropped them off at The Printworks in Manchester in his blue Honda CRV, registration number W295 TBM.

Mark is described as 5ft10in tall and of medium build with short grey hair, a goatee beard and brown eyes. He usually wears glasses and speaks with a northern accent. He has several body-piercings in his nose, tongue, arms, nipples and stomach and a large, distinctive tattoo on neck, another on his right shoulder and several other tattoos on his arms. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and trainers

He likes bird watching and fishing and often visits Dunham Massey, Cumbria, Anglesey and areas of mainland Wales close to Anglesey.

Mark has not been in contact with family or friends for two days, which is totally out of character. He has been very depressed recently due to personal problems and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. Police are appealing for Mark to make contact with them by going into any police station or by phone, to let them know he is safe.

Anybody with any information about Mark's whereabouts is asked to contact police in Whitefield on 0161 872 5050.
