Prestwich Village Business Group Meeting
Reporter: Ask Bury
Date online: 04/04/2007
The next meeting of the Prestwich Village Business Group will take place on Wednesday 11th April at 5-00pm at Prestwich Library .
The group was set up last year and provides an opportunity for businesses to find out what is going on in Prestwich that may affect business, and provide an opportunity to raise any issues of concern and get involved.
Julie Comac of Time for Tea, the acting organiser for the Group said: "I would urge Businesses in Prestwich to come along and get involved, this is your opportunity to raise any issues or concerns with the Council and to work in Partnership and represent business views and raise the profile of Prestwich. It can be difficult for one organisation to progress issues in isolation, but with input from you the business community, it is possible to make real progress on issues important to us. "
The group are progressing new signage projects and a Village Guide and are looking in more detail at Parking issues affecting Prestwich. Updates will be provided at the meeting on progress with the Retreat Public Realm remedial works and opportunities to further improve the area, and Businesses are able to raise any other relevant issues prior to the meeting.
For further information please contact Julie Comac of Time for Tea on 0161 773 3612 or Liz Gillan, Bury Council Town centre Co-ordinator on 0161 253 5974 or via e-mail.
