Zoe Robinson, Beijing Paralympian, and Mayor Peter Ashworth will attend the
launch the new Bury Disability Sports website on Tuesday 8 July at Castle
Leisure Centre.

The new website provides information about disabled sports activities taking
place across Bury and the North West. The site has been designed to ensure that
details of sporting events are as accessible as possible. The website provides
updates on local teams, funding opportunities, upcoming events and
competitions.

Free taster sessions for some of the sporting activities featured on the
website will be showcased at the launch event. Participants of all ages and
abilities are invited to come along to the event and have a go at one of the
sports on offer. There will be demonstrations of New Age Curling, Table Tennis,
Floor Lacrosse and Goal Ball.

Councillor Beverly Sullivan, Executive Member for Health and Wellbeing said; "I
think this new website is a fantastic resource and I hope that it inspires
people of all ages and abilities to have a go at a new sport".
