The Friends of Nuttall Park and Bury Ranger Service have organized the 'Nuttall
Extravaganza' to celebrate the park's eightieth birthday.
The event will take place on Saturday 12 July between 12.30 and 5pm. There will
be a variety of activities on offer to suit every age group, including; story
tellers, live bands, fairground and craft stalls, a Hawk and Owl display, a
BBQ, cream teas and a refreshments stall selling Bury Black Pudding.
The new Ranger Base at the park will also be opened at the event and a new
commemorative stone, donated by Marshalls, will be also be unveiled.
Amy Leach, Ranger for Ramsbottom said; "Local businesses and voluntary groups
have got involved with the planning and organisation of the event and it
couldn't have gone ahead without their help. The birthday event is to celebrate
the park being given to Ramsbottom eighty years ago so I hope everyone will
come along to celebrate".
If you wish to attend this event please note that access to Nuttall Hall Road
and Nuttall Park will be limited. Alternative parking is available on Cormar
Carpets Car Park situated off Railway Street and will be signposted.
