Police Surgeries at Radcliffe
Date published: 01/07/2008
Police and PCSOs from Radcliffe's Neighbourhood Policing Team will be setting
up residence at Radcliffe Market Hall to hold weekly policing surgeries to
offer support and advice to residents.
Local people are being invited to come down to the market to speak to police
officers about any concerns they may have. Officers will be on hand to give out
free information and leaflets about community safety and crime prevention.
Councillor Sam Cohen, Executive Member for Safe and Secure Communities said
"Radcliffe Market Hall is at the heart of the local community and I am sure
that the surgeries will allow local residents to conveniently speak to the
police about issues of concern".
Sergeant Martin Coyne from Radcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "These
weekly surgeries are an ideal opportunity for locals to drop in whilst out
shopping and talk confidentially about any problems that have an effect on
their communities. They also enable officers to give feedback about any action
taken and give police a better understanding of issues affecting each area."
The first surgery will take place in Radcliffe Market Hall on Friday 4 July
between 1:30pm and 4:00pm, with the second surgery scheduled for Saturday 12
July between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Further surgery dates will be available on the
Notice boards at the entrance to the Market Hall.
