Bury Grammar School Parents’ Association donates Hair & Fashion show proceeds to Sixth Form Appeal.

The Bury Grammar School Parents’ Association presented a cheque to current Sixth Form students Ciaran McCaughey, School Captain, and Jemma Mistry, Head Girl, on 1st May. The £9,052 was raised at their fabulous Hair & Fashion Show earlier this year and has been donated towards the BGS Building Appeal for a new Sixth Form Centre for pupils of both schools.

The event, a complete sell-out, was inspired by Antony Popadich, a current parent and proprietor of the popular Antony for Hair Salon, Tithebarn Street, Bury and was supported by Urban Menswear, Tithebarn Street, Bury, Muse Womenswear, Market Place, Ramsbottom and CoCu Corset Couture, Barton Arcade, Manchester. A team of models including BGS pupils Jenny Fogg, Olivia Halstead, Jack Harrison and Ryan Dutton presented stylish clothing for men and women ranging from day wear through to evening wear, ball gowns and prom wear. The show featured a wide range of fashion to suit all tastes and the outfits were complemented by the latest hair styles from the Antony for Hair salon team.
