Man charged following fatal collision in Bolton

A man has been charged in connection with a traffic collision in Bolton in which two people were killed.
Joseph Gallagher (born 19/07/88) of Greendale Drive in Radcliffe, Bury, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, burglary and handling stolen goods.
He is due to appear before Bolton Magistrates Court, today Thursday 26 March 2009.
The charge relates to a collision shortly after midnight on Monday 19 January 2009, on Blackburn Road, Egerton.
A Ford Focus collided with a wall, and two men, 25-year-old Sean Mullany and 21-year-old Christopher Cornwell, died shortly afterwards.
Two other men, both 20, were in the car, though neither suffered life-threatening injuries. One received hospital treatment for a dislocated elbow.
The other man required observation in hospital but has since been discharged.
