Pimhole man guilty of fly-tipping

A man who dumped a number of full black bags in a back street has pleaded guilty to fly-tipping.

Fared Saidi (aged 33), who then lived in Ormrod Street, Bury used his own company vehicle to dump the household waste behind his house on May 22, 2009. This was witnessed by a local resident who contacted Bury Council’s environmental services.

Following investigation, he was summoned to appear at Bury Magistrates Court. He failed to appear on January 20, 2010 and a bail warrant was issued. He then eventually appeared on January 27 and pleaded guilty to fly-tipping. He is now living in Ipswich.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge but ordered to pay £535 prosecution costs.
