Whitefield and Unsworth LAP says on your bike!

It’s official Whitefield and Unsworth Local Area Partnership is going out all guns to get Whitefield fit and healthy in 2010.

Whitefield and Unsworth LAP awarded £2180 to Bessess Health Group for a Bike4Life event to promote a family cycling from the LAP’s Communities for Health fund. This is one of a number of activities that the partnership is supporting towards the NHS Change4Life agenda in Whitefield and Unsworth.

Chair of Whitefield and Unsworth Local Area Partnership, Councillor Michelle Wiseman said “Getting fit and healthy makes a real difference to your health and well being, how you feel about your self and your confidence. It’s never to late to hop on a bike, take a nice stroll or join in a local keep fit club to make that difference and kick start your healthy lifestyle”.
