The next meeting of the Prestwich Village Business Group will take place on Wednesday February 7 at 5.30pm, Prestwich Library.

The group formed last year to promote Prestwich Village and act as one voice for Businesses in the Prestwich area.  Since the last meeting the Group have been progressing work on new signage and a village/shopping guide to promote Prestwich.  The guide will include a directory of all businesses who have responded to the questionnaire recently circulated by the group.

Wednesday’s meeting will focus on the consideration of parking issues in Prestwich with representatives from the Councils Highways Department who will be looking at ideas for improvement.

Julie Comac of Time for Tea, Acting Group Organiser said "Our aim is to focus on issues of real concern for businesses in Prestwich and to work with the Council where possible to improve things. The provision of adequate and accessible parking is vital in supporting business to ensure shoppers and visitors in Prestwich increase.  We will be looking to identify ideas for improving existing provision where possible and all businesses are urged to come along and find out more."

The forum provides an opportunity for businesses to find out what is going on in Prestwich that may affect business and provides an opportunity to raise any issues of concern and get involved.
