Hundreds of pounds raised
Date published: 10/12/2009
Hundreds of pounds have been raised to help local young people with disabilities.
Summerseat Garden Centre held a fundraising event in aid of Jigsaw, a Bury charity which organises social and sporting events.
More than 100 people joined Jigsaw members on a night of festive shopping and carol singing, and bought raffle and tombola tickets – and the evening raised a huge total of £875.
Jigsaw would like to thank everyone who supported them, as well as the choir The Astral Players, the Pipes and Drums of Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force, and to Jonny Stanley who was making paper roses.
