Dates for this year’s Powersound competition giving contestants the opportunity to try out performing live on stage have been announced. Organised by Bury Venues and Bury Youth Services, the competition is open to amateur bands aged 11 to 24 years and amateur singers aged 11 to 21 years. The contest is judged over a number of weeks by a panel of judges. Contestants are required to get through their heats to earn a place in the final and a chance to win cash prizes and win Powersound 2008.
