The walk starts at Woodhey and initially goes up onto Holcombe Moor. From there it heads towards Haslingden Grane and reaches the disused quarry workings at Musbury Heights. The route continues to Broadhead Road and Whittlestone Head before proceeding to Jumbles. It then turns east and returns to the start point via Hawkshaw.
