Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival for 2010
Following last year’s successful Chocolate Festival Ramsbottom Businesses and Bury Council have got together to make this year’s festival bigger and better.
Last year, over 10,000 attended the event and this year the festival will take place over 2 days on the 27 and 28 March in Ramsbottom Town Centre.
Plans for this years festival include, a chocolate market on Sunday 27 March, a world record attempt to see how many Ferrero Rocher can be eaten in a minute, as well as competitions all with chocolate themed prizes.
Alongside the festival, visitors to the market town of Ramsbottom can also take part in a unique Chocolate Trail, which was launched during Chocolate Week 2009. This trail allows participants to taste some of the chocolatey treats on offer throughout the year in Ramsbottom.

Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival for 2010
Sunday Chocolate Market, 10.30am - 4pm, Bridge Street. A chocolate and chocolate related themed market will take place on Bridge Street, offering delights from chocolatiers from around the country (see list below of exhibitors).
*Children's Craft Workshop 10.30am - 4pm, Ramsbottom Civic Hall.
*Children's Chocolate Workshop, 11am and 3pm. Ramsbottom Civic Hall.
Ministry of Chocolate 'the chocolate workshop specialists' will run an interactive and eduational children's chocolate workshop. Each fun packed workshop lasts approximately 40 minutes which will be both inspiring and engaging for children of all ages. There will also be a chocolate fountain and fresh fruit dips.

Prestwich Clough Fun Day
Prestwich Clough Day will take place at St Mary’s Flower Park in Bury New Road on May 16. It began in 2005 to mark the Clough’s centenary and will this year showcase more than 50 activities, including a falconry display and brass band performances.
Including street artists, brass bands, morris dancers, a falconry display, Punch and Judy shows, a clown and much, much more.
“We fully anticipate that it will be an impressive opening event to the newly-established Prestwich Festival, which starts on May 16 until June 20.”
